sunday morning going down

another sunday morning going down. 8 am and already not what i had in mind for the day. one of my favorite luxuries in life was getting the sunday paper delivered to my mailbox- and it was there at the crack o' dawn without fail. alas, the gentleman who did the delivery has passed away and now I get to wait for whatever magical process that must occur to happen for the shur-save to have papers ready for sale. I know its whining, but the whole day flowed better with the paper being here early.Then there's the weather- snow, wind, cold all conspiring to keep me on the ground today. I desperately need to get in the air, I have not been getting my adult daily required amount flight time. And, truth be told, I'm not a big fan of Christmas as it has become. Kind of like a gourmet meal- much preparation for a very short lived event with a lot of clean up. but the day will get better, I just have to get energized. A session on the elliptical, the salt creek show and non such, the Giants at 1, a good dog walk. come on sun.

Time to get busy all around the house. The weather is perfect for everything from painting to gardening to those bigger make over projects like an updated kitchen or bath. The next 30 days or so before the fourth of July are extra perfect because its before vacation season starts. I don't want to spend my vacation time working on the house, I want to kick back, relax and enjoy my family.

mid April and I saw snowflakes falling today. old man winter just won't let go. and it was in the mid 70's yesterday. immpossible to figure what's coming next. hard to imagine on a day like today, but soon you'll be out in the yard watering the plants and washing the car, spraying off the screens and such. pay attention to what happens that first time you fire up the hose and save yourself a big clean up job. if you left the hose connected to the outside faucet all winter there's a pretty good chance that things froze and cracked and are just waiting for you to open the outside faucet to leak.
